20th December 2003 Windsurfing: Golf Course Car park Wind Direction: WNW Wind Stength: 25-30 knots Surf / Sea State: 4 foot rough surf Air Temperature: 9ºC Sea Temperature: 10ºC Weather: Cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: Quite a mad session. The wind didn't kick in properly until around 1pm, but when it did it went ballistic. I was out on my own, so didn't stay out long, and I played it safe seeing as it was so mad out there. The surf was really rough with spray blowing everywhere, and keeping the board on the water was difficult at times. Its did of course mean that when I went for a jump it was a pretty big jump!! I never REALLY went for it as I was just aiming to survive out there with no big crashes. It was still good though. Had someone else been out it would have been an epic session. It wasn't even cold. |
